- Feature other’s stories, case studies and research work.
- Giveaway some freebies to your readers in turn to share your post using WordPress social locker plugins.
- Ask people to share your content on social media at the end of your blog post as a call to action.

- Have click to tweet buttons embedded in your blog posts.

What’s the best way to drive traffic to your newly published blog posts?
It is to mention and link to your new post from your old popular blog posts.
To do this, you need to head over to Google Analytics > Behavior > All pages.
Find out the top traffic-driving pages on your site.
Head over to those pages and find or create a context in which you can internally link to your new blog post.
With this strategy in place, you attract lots of traffic to your new blog post by people visiting your top pages.
This strategy has great advantages when it comes to SEO too. When your newly published blog post gets lots of internal links, it increases the crawlability of your new post and thus blog post indexation will be faster.

You also need to consider growing your Facebook Messenger subscribers. According to many reports, the chatbot messages have an open rate of 80% and click thru rate of 13% which is quite astounding.
That means if you have 10,000 Messenger subscribers, from a single broadcast you can get 1,300 to your new blog post. That’s quite a big number.

8. Find influencers who will love your content
You need to remember to share your content with other niche influencers.
You can reach out to people who’ve previously shared similar content on social media.
For this, you can make use of tools like NinjaOutreach or BuzzSumo.
In either of these tools, you just need to enter your target keyword.
Here you’ll get to know the people who shared a specific content previously on social media. You also get to know about their Twitter followers.
You just need to make a list of people who will likely share your content on social media and reach out to them.
If they’ve shared similar content on social media previously, the chances of them sharing your content will also be higher.
9. Repurpose content
I often advise people to follow an omnichannel approach when promoting content.
But to follow this approach, you need to have an endless stream of content.
Right? Not quite right.
You need to consider repurposing your blog content so as to tailor it to different channels for promotion.
- Repurpose your blog content to YouTube videos and publish it on YouTube
- Create podcasts out of those videos or blog posts
- Create slides out of your blog post outlines and upload them to SlideShare
- Repurpose parts of your blog posts as Quora answers or your Facebook group posts
- Create infographics out of your blog posts and submit to infographic directories and publish Guestographics
For example, you can leverage the content that is already published on your site, create various content formats out of it and get traffic to your site.
10. Comment on a few high traffic blogs
Whenever you publish new blog posts on your blog, make it a habit to leave insightful comments on other popular blogs.
You can find blogs to comment on using the search query – niche “leave a comment”.
This will return you all the blogs in your niche that are accepting comments from the readers.
Again, the goal here is not to build backlinks as the comment backlinks are no-follow.
The goal here is to build a connection with the blog owners and also to make people of other blogs aware of your brand. Your comments need to be really insightful and well-thought. Or else, you may end up hurting yourself instead of helping.
