So I was excited to talk to her live on ABC Radio and give her a few pointers. Some of the topics we covered are:
- What is a blog?
- How can blogging improve your business?
- How can you get started blogging?
- How long should a blog post be?
- Why is blogging a powerful marketing tool?
Listen to the eight minute interview here. I've still got some work to do but I think my public speaking mentor will be happy enough.
31 Days to Build a Better Blog
I just heard that our blogging hero Darren Rowse has decided to increase the price on his classic blogging book 31 Days to Build a Better Blog.
That's Dazza above in the photo with yours truly and if you're not yet convinced about his heroic blogging status consider this:
1. He's the most successful professional blogger known to man and this woman.
2.It's not all about the money for Darren, he's also tapping into the power of blogging and his considerable online influence to make the world a better place through blogging.
3. He lets me gatecrash all his parties… well, all the ones I find out about anyway.
So I just wanted to warn you that on May 10th 2011 the price will go up by $10 from US$19.95 to $29.99.
$29.99 is still an good deal considering it's an invaluable blogging resource but if you haven't read if yet, or you're thinking of buying it I recommend it.
I made a lot of mistakes when I started out blogging but probably the biggest one was being too tight to invest in the right books to help me succeed faster.
I reckon that by spending money on books or courses about blogging it helps you twice. First you get all those insights that smooth the way for you and give you a clear blogging plan and secondly it shows that you're really committed to blogging and not just dabbling with it.
So if you're serious about blogging, seriously love it and seriously want to give yourself a head start check out 31 Days to Build a Better Blog now. I know you'll be glad you did. If you haven't read it already that is.
And in case you're wondering of course I'm an affiliate for the book and very proud to be associated with it too.
What are you finding challenging about blogging right now?
If you have any burning questions or ongoing dilemmas let me know in the comments. I'd love to read them and help you make your blogging dreams come true.
